fa بررسی آگاهی، نگرش و عملکرد مادران در زمینه عفونت گوش میانی در کودکان The Survey of Knowledge, Attitude, and Performance of Mothers toward Otitis Media in Children آموزش بهداشت و ارتقاء سلامت education health and promotion پژوهشي Research مقدمه: عفونت گوش میانی، دومین بیماری شایع کودکان در جهان محسوب می‌شود و مادران نقش مهمی در زمینه پیشگیری از این بیماری در کودکان دارند. پژوهش حاضر با هدف تعیین آگاهی، نگرش و عملکرد مادران در زمینه رفتارهای پیشگیری‌کننده از عفونت گوش میانی در شیرخواران انجام شد. روش‌ها: این مطالعه از نوع تحلیلی- مقطعی بود که به روش نمونه‌گیری تصادفی، بر روی 240 مادر دارای کودک شیرخوار مراجعه‌کننده به مراکز بهداشتی- درمانی شهر اراک در سال 1400 انجام گردید. اطلاعات به وسیله پرسش‌نامه‌ای که روایی و پایایی آن پیش‌تر مورد تأیید قرار گرفته بود، جمع‌آوری شد. داده‌ها با استفاده از آزمون‌های توصیفی و تحلیلی شامل ضریب همبستگی Spearman و آزمون Independent t در نرم‌افزار SPSS مورد تجزیه و تحلیل قرار گرفت. 05/0 > P به عنوان سطح معنی‌داری در نظر گرفته شد. یافته‌ها: میانگین سن کودکان، 05/6 ± 40/11 ماه گزارش گردید. 194 نفر (8/80 درصد) از مادران خانه‌دار بودند. سطح آگاهی 2/16 درصد از مادران در زمینه عفونت گوش میانی مطلوب و 1/67 درصد متوسط بود. سطح نگرش 5/7 درصد متوسط و 5/92 درصد مطلوب به دست آمد. همچنین، نمره عملکرد مادران در 3/58 مطلوب، 2/39 درصد متوسط و 5/2 درصد ضعیف گزارش شد. ارتباط معنی‌داری بین نمره آگاهی با نگرش (001/0 > P، 320/0 = r) و عملکرد (050/0 > P) وجود داشت. متغیرهای دموگرافیک شامل تحصیلات مادر، تعداد فرزندان و درامد ماهیانه، آگاهی و نگرش 118/0 درصد از واریاس عملکرد مادران در زمینه پیشگیری از عفونت گوش میانی در شیرخوار را پیش‌بینی می‌کرد. نتیجه‌گیری: مادران آگاهی و عملکرد ضعیف و متوسطی در زمینه پیشگیری از عفونت گوش میانی داشتند. عوامل زمینه‌ای مادر شامل تحصیلات و میزان درامد خانوار در این زمینه مؤثر می‌باشد. بنابراین، برنامه‌ریزی آموزشی جهت بهبود آگاهی و عملکرد مادران ضروری به نظر می‌رسد. Background: Otitis media is the second most common pediatric disease in the world and family, especially mothers, play an important role in prevention of this disease in children. The present study aimed to determine the knowledge, attitude, and performance of mothers regarding preventive behaviors of otitis media in infants. Methods: This analytical cross-sectional study was conducted by random sampling method on 240 mothers of infants referring to health centers of Arak City, Iran, in 2021. Data were collected by a questionnaire whose reliability and validity were previously confirmed and were analyzed with SPSS software using descriptive and analytical statistical tests including Spearman correlation coefficient and independent t-test. P < 0.05 was considered as the significance level. Findings: The mean age of children was 11.40 ± 6.05 months and 194 (80.8%) mothers were housewives. 16.2% of mothers had desirable knowledge about otitis media and 67.1% had moderate knowledge. 92.5% of mothers had desirable attitude and 7.5% had moderate attitude. Besides, performance score was desirable in 58.3% of mothers, moderate in 39.2%, and weak in 2.5%. There was a significant relationship between knowledge score with attitude of mothers (r = 0.320, P < 0.001) and performance (P < 0.050). The demographic variables including mother’s education, number of children, family income, knowledge, and attitude predicted 0.118% of maternal performance variance in prevention of otitis media in infants. Conclusion: Most mothers had weak or moderate knowledge and performance about prevention of otitis media in infants. Mother's background factors including education and household income are effective in this field.
