Conflicts of interest which usually emerge in two dimensions i.e. financial and non-financial, might lead authors, editors, editorial board and peer reviewers deviate from honest reporting the results of the research projects. If this happen, the health of people might be in danger. Therefore, the best possible way to confront this phenomenon is to recognize and to disclose it as soon as possible. The aim of the present review article was to familiarize the Iranian scientists within the health domain with this phenomenon and the ways to overcome it.
