Abstract:   (682 Views)
Retraction is a process used to correct literature and serves as a warning to readers about publications containing serious flaws or erroneous data. Given that the medical sciences focus on human health, any inaccurate findings can pose significant risks. Analysis of the MEDLINE/PubMed database revealed a concerning trend: over the past five years (2019-2023), there has been a notable increase in retractions of articles in the field of Iranian medical sciences. Consequently, it is advisable for more medical universities to prioritize this issue. By investigating incidents, identifying their root causes, and enforcing stringent regulations, these institutions can proactively prevent such occurrences.
