Since all the aspects and dimensions of suicide are not well known and understood, self-destruction is one of the most complex aspects of the human life. Given the importance of this problem, and since precise knowledge regarding different types of suicide might help preventing this phenomenon, the present study aimed to review a new classification of suicidal attempts in terms of health perspective. Accordingly, suicide will be categorized as single suicide, pact (dyadic) suicide, mass suicide, assisted suicide (altrunistic), mission suicide and cluster (collective) suicide; each type then will be explained within the discussion section.
