The associate degree of study field of combating diseases is a branch of public health major. After graduation, the graduates work to prevent communicable and non-communicable diseases. The inclusion of only one course named as "National Program for Combating Communicable Diseases" cannot lead to the training of efficient health providers in the field of the prevention and control of diseases. Moreover, the “Program to Combat Non-Communicable Diseases” is currently included in the care programs of the country's health network system, which in this section means the section to combat diseases. Students and graduates of this field do not take any courses related to this title, which can have a negative effect on their efficiency when they enter the field of health and network system. It is suggested that the curriculum of this field be evaluated and according to the demands and expectations of the country's health system from this group of graduates, the course of the “National Program to Combat Communicable Diseases” should be increased to at least three units and also the course titled as the “National Program for Combating Non-Communicable Diseases" should be added to their training course with a minimum of two credits
