Research cycle begins with asking a question or developing a hypothesis. After finalizing, the results of a research are written and published in the format of an original paper. In each step of research cycle, the researchers need to consider different ethical issues and guidelines. These ethical issues start when a question is asked or a hypothesis is tested and they move forward in the steps of data analyses or writing the findings of the research down. These ethical issues are so important that when all of them are fully fulfilled, the results of the research add something new to the existing knowledge. The aim of the present article was to review the most fundamental ethical issues and guidelines in the cycle of health-related research based on the existing literature.
