This study was conducted in order to survey Tehranian adolescents’ skills related to fruit and vegetable consumption in 2013. Methods: Present research is a cross-sectional study (descriptive-analytic) that was carried out for surveying Tehranian adolescents’ skills related to fruit and vegetable consumption and correlated factors in 2013. Five hundred adolescents (11-14 years old) participated in this research using multistage random sampling method. The age of 11-14 years, informed consent and voluntary participation were criteria for selection students. Data was gathered using researcher administered questionnaire encompasses demographic characteristics (10 items) and skill questions (3 items) that was validated by face and content methods. Reliability of questionnaire was measured by internal consistency method (α=0.67). Data was analyzed using statistical software SPSS 18 (descriptive statistics and tests of t, chi-square, and one way ANOVA). Findings: Findings of present research showed no significant relationship between skill of adolescents and some demographic variables include; gender, father’s job and mother’s job. Based on one way ANOVA test, there was significant relation between skill and mother’s literacy as well as resident region. Also, this test showed no significant correlation between skill and adolescents’ age. Conclusion: Designing and implementation of interventions for empowerment of adolescents and skill building activities on fruit and vegetable consumption with participation of students, families and teachers are recommended.
